some info about me

My name is Kumar Flowers Kay, and I am currently in eighth grade at Lake Country School in Minneapolis.  Lake Country is a private Montessori school, and I have been going there for the past eleven years of my life.  Next year I will be going to DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis, a private Catholic school.  I love sports, and play football in the Minneapolis Park and Rec. League.  I greatly enjoy the outdoors, and go to YMCA Camp Menogyn on the Gunflint Trail in northern Minnesota.  I also love to write.

I have had a unique education experience at Lake Country, and I think that my perspective will provide an interesting insight on the topic of student achievement.  I love discussions, and am never afraid to share my opinion.  As a part of this new project, I think I can my apply my experiences and skills to be an asset to the group.

Kumar -- I'm really curious about your response on the "variations" question Joe poses, given your insights about interactions with teachers and peers.
