Spending more time today watching the Minnesota legislature working on a critical public issue with a big price tag and implications for the future.The House of Representatives debate on the Vikings Stadium yesterday was a good example of civil debate across party lines.

Although many people watching (most in MN?) may not understand the legislative process or facts behind the issues, policy makers have a chance to film future campaign commercials about how they make big public decisions based on values (why) and trade offs among priorities.

I've spent too much time watching the voter id amendment to the MN Constitution hearings and debate this year; including final Senate discussion now.
