In an era where citizen participation in solving public problems is increasingly understood to be important, Citizens League has the tools and processes to give young people the space to authentically voice their ideas about your on policy ideas, programs, projects, or even your school.
We offer a team of consultants who come prepared to customize a package of Students Speak Out processes and tools that work for you and your budget to get the input you need to design policies and programs that work.
Often, our Web space here on Citizens League's own software platform, CitiZing, is a great place for SSO work. But sometimes we work entirely offline, using workshop formats or other processes and tools. And other times we use both online and offline spaces. Again, it depends on what works best for your project.
We've worked successfully with legislative task forces, state agencies, and nonprofits.
We are also open to YOU using our software platform (for a fee) to connect with teens. Our main condition is that your project isn't about teens validating your idea. Too often, folks approach teens because they're required to or want to say they did, even though they intend to use their original idea no matter what teens say. We don't do that on SSO. Instead, we work with people who want to authentically connect with teens to evaluate, create or reform an idea.
